Independent, Non-Partisan Website Resources

 

The League of Women Voters voter information website, www.vote411.org -  Enter your address  in the boxes on the left and then click the green "Enter" button.  On the next page click on the green button in the right column that says "Get personalized Information on candidates and issues".  A page with the races in your district will appear.  This site includes all three ballot propositions, and the races for Westchester County Executive, Westchester County Clerk,  Westchester County Legislator District 17, Yonkers Council President, Yonkers Council District 2, NY Supreme Court Justice 9th Judicial District, Family Court Judge, and Yonkers City Court Judge.

 

The New York State Unified Court System provides a Voter Guide for Judicial Positions that provides a useful description of the different courts and matters heard by them. https://portal.nycourts.gov/sites/vote/2017

 

 

Independent, Non-Partisan Advocacy Groups

 

The Westchester Children's Association has published results of their Candidate Survey covering candidate responses to the question, what are your priorities regarding children and teens in Westchester, and what specific county policies, programs or investments will you support, if elected, to address these priorities? The Gannett Journal News' LoHud.com's  http://www.lohud.com/story/news/politics/elections/2017/10/30/election-2017-candidates-westchester page for Westchester will contain links to all their election coverage, including news stories, candidate pages, letters to the editor, and their endorsements in each race.

 

Yonkers Rising and Yonkers Daily Voice contain considerable election coverage.
